In 2001 Louise was awarded a residency as part of a nationwide "Year of the Artist" programme. The residency based in Ballymena, sought to examine the effects of drug addiction and the works produced dealt with the distortion of priorities, personalities and the destruction of relationships with others and the self.
'The Weight of the World on his Shoulders' ceramic sculpture was one of the pieces created and is part of the museum's collection. It is now featured on the Interactive Collection Wall.
