Based in Ballymena, Northern Ireland my work explores how the artist's role in society can be one of social commentator, using visual imagery to highlight and raise discussion of particular issues and themes. Primarily I work with clay, both stoneware and earthenware. Sculptures are highly coloured with delicate and detailed modelling. Mixedmedia works often include elements of textiles, metal, glass and found objects, or indeed may be composed of these elements solely. I have also worked on a wide range of workshops with people of all ages and abilities throughout Northern Ireland. I have received a number of commissions from both private and public sector.
